| EQUIPMENT SYSTEM: Equipment is vital for the survival and success of all Shinobi. From weapons to armor to supplementary items, being properly equipped can control the tide of any battle. Equipment works off of a similar stat system to freeform combat, unless it is used as a catalyst for a Jutsu of some sort. - Strength: strength is an important factor when deciding the overall effectiveness of a weapon. A weapon operates at equal to its rank in freeform or equal to the technique's rank when used that way.
- Durability: durability is the defining factor to show how much damage your equipment can take before it breaks. Durability works slightly differently between weapons, armor and items. Below, you will find a breakdown of these differences:
- Weapon Durability: Weapons are able to take two instances of damage one rank higher than the weapon itself before they break.
- Armor Durability: Armor is able to reduce incoming damage by -1 rank, up to its rank. Meaning S-ranked armor can reduce S-D ranked attacks down one rank, but would break if hit by an S+ attack.
- Item Durability: Items are only able to take a single instance of damage equal to the rank of the item before breaking.
Speed: This generally would only come into play with thrown weapons or other ranged weapons. At which point the weapon’s speed would be equal to the rank of the weapon. In the case of thrown weapons, the speed is equal to the strength of the user. Range: This is generally related to ranged weapons as well, and the ranges allowed are as follows: E-rank: 5m D-rank: 15m C-rank: 25m B-rank: 40m A-rank: 50m S-rank: 75m Equipment Destruction:In the case that your equipment is broken/destroyed, it will be rendered unusable for the remainder of the topic it is broken in. However, it is restored in any following topics. Items:Items are used as supplementary equipment that provide various effects such as healing or buffs/debuffs. An item may have a singular function which is usable once per thread, meaning that all items are consumable. These uses are of course, replenished in any subsequent threads. Equipment Abilities: As mentioned above in the Items section, you are allowed to give your equipment up to two abilities that can set it apart. This could be something along the lines of extending the blade, allowing the armor to be a bit tougher and take one more hit, or something else along those lines. Staff will work with you to help in fleshing these out if necessary.
Stat-Boosting: Equipment of B-Rank or higher are capable of increasing a stat by up to 1. Each character may only be benefitting from a single stat increase via equipment. Equipment Pricing:Equipment prices are an interesting thing since each piece of equipment is unique. This means that the minimum prices below won’t always be good enough to fit your equipment, at which point staff will work with you to find a good rank or adjustment to make your equipment work. However, if you want a particular rank and staff feels that it is legal, but doesn’t fit in some way, the below prices can be shifted to make your equipment a bit more expensive to make up for whatever is setting it apart. - E-rank: 500 ryo
- D-rank: 1,000 ryo
- C-rank: 1,500 ryo
- B-rank: 2,000 ryo
- A-rank: 5,000 ryo
- S-rank: 8,000 ryo
Equipment Template Breakdown Name: obviously the name of the item Type: What kind of equipment is it? Is it a sword? A piece of armor? Canon/Custom: Is this a canon item or something custom to your character? Rank: What rank is it? Description: Describe its appearance and all that it looks like, when it’s used and how it’s used. Equipment Ability: Your item can have up to TWO abilities. Equipment jutsu: You are allowed to sop up to THREE Jutsu per ability your equipment has. These must be at MOST equal in rank to the equipment being submitted. Cost: Based on the list above. Requirements: Any additional requirements other than specialty.

| Poison Mechanics Poisons, toxins, and venom's are all poisonous, intoxicating substances - powders, liquids, and gases - that can be used by shinobi in combat. Poisons come with a variety of effects, ranging from body weakness to paralysis and/or messing with chakra/stamina. In order to use poison, one MUST have the "Poisoner" trait. Poison may only have a SINGULAR effect with the ones listed above being examples of what may be chosen. Poison may be applied for as an effect added to equipment/weapons or as an equipment itself. Regardless of how it is applied, it may only last a maximum of THREE posts and is treated as equal to the rank of the item it is. The caster of the poison is immune to its effects and can cure anyone afflicted with THEIR OWN poison without the use of any additional things. | |
