Senjutsu System

Senjutsu is a specialized field of jutsu that involves the use of natural energy. Senjutsu practitioners, known as sages, learn to draw natural energy inside their bodies, blending it with their own chakra to create senjutsu chakra. This chakra adds a new dimension of power to the user's techniques, while also allowing for the use of techniques that would not otherwise be possible. To use senjutsu, one must first learn to sense the natural energy in their surroundings and gather it inside their body. It must then be balanced with the user's own physical and spiritual energies, which make up their chakra, to create senjutsu chakra. If too little natural energy is added to the mix, senjutsu cannot be used, but gathering too much results in the user turning to stone. Those who are successful in this training learn to enter a state called Sage Mode, in which their physical parameters and sensing capabilities are dramatically enhanced for as long as the mode is active. Though trainees seem to enter Sage Mode automatically during the learning process, it is possible to create senjutsu chakra without entering Sage Mode in order to store it for later.

Senjutsu Specifics: 

There are TWO TYPES of Senjutsu that one is able to learn. One may only learn ONE of the two types and both offer their own benefits and drawbacks. 

• Summoning Senjutsu:Summoning based sage mode is learned via training with one's summoning animal. This is generally done in their unique summoning domain, which is carried out in the “unexplored sage lands” tab. Summons offer unique abilities to their summoners and Summon based sage mode is just as unique. 
  
  • Summoning based sage mode increases a characters base tier by +1, increasing all of their relevant stats to their new tier. 
    
  • Summoning based sage mode allows one to passively sense chakra within 100m of themselves. 
    
  • Summoning based sage mode allows one to passively enter and maintain sage mode by merging with their summoning animal. This also gives the user access to the summoning animals' unique ability.
    
  
  
  

• Non-Summoning Senjutsu: This sage mode is available to those who either don’t have a summon or who would prefer to take advantage of the Non-Summoning sage mode and lose out on the benefits of summoning sage mode. This training can be carried out anywhere, and isn’t taught by a summoning animal. 
  
  • Non-Summoning based sage mode increases a character's base tier by +1, increasing all of their relevant stats to their new tier.
    
  • Non-summoning based sage mode allows one to passively sense chakra within 50m of themselves.
    
  • Non-Summoning based sage mode allows one to have a single unique ability based on the ‘theme’ of their sage mode. Such as water based sage mode allowing one to breathe underwater.

Senjutsu is drawn in at a 1:1 ratio, meaning for each entire post you spend being totally still (not moving, or using any Jutsu/attacking or defending in any way), you get one post in sage mode. You can also charge Senjutsu while in sage mode if you want. You can either enter sage mode instantly once you have the desired amount charged, or you can save it and enter it when it is convenient. However, it doesn’t allow your charge to last past the topic it is charged in. 

NOTE: In order to learn Senjutsu, one must have the Summoning and another Ninjutsu based specialty. 

Senjutsu Training:

Senjutsu training is a difficult task, however it is something that can be done with enough work! 

• Summon based: This training MUST take place in the “Unexplored Sage Lands” board. One must do 2,000 words of training to learn it, this can be shortened by the discounts of mentor and/or shadow clones. 
  
  
• Non-summon based: Non-summoning sage mode can be trained anywhere and requires 3,000 words of training. This can be taught by a mentor, but shadow clones cannot be used. If you learn it from a mentor, you learn their version of it.
