| Summoning System: The Summoning Jutsu allows one who has both the Summoning Speciality, The Summoning Jutsu, as well as a summoning contract to call forth an animal summon to aid them in combat through a variety of additional collaborative Jutsu or unique abilities that a summon might have. Before an animal can be summoned, a prospective summoner must first form a contract with the animal and/or its species. This is usually something that is easily accessed such as a scroll that has the contract and an area for the potential user to sign their name and handprint in blood. To actually summon an animal, users apply some of their blood to the hand they signed the contract with. Usually they bite one of their fingers to accomplish this, but blood from injuries elsewhere on their body can also be used. They press the hands' five fingers down and channel chakra to the hand, summoning the animal to that location. While usually pressing them at the ground, it is also possible to do so on no surface at all, such as midair. The amount of chakra gathered in the hand determines the size and number of animals that are summoned: if too little chakra is offered, only a small, young animal will be summoned; by offering large amounts of chakra, multiple adult animals can be summoned simultaneously. Summoning Requirements:In order to summon an animal, you must not only have the summoning specialty and the summoning Jutsu, you must also have a contract with the animal and you must have registered the animal in the appropriate area. First, we will break down how to get a contract. (NOTE: One is only allowed to have TWO CONTRACTS. One that you own and one that someone else owns. This is the only way to get two contracts.)In order to attain a Summoning Contract, one must have the Summoning Specialty. Once you have the specialty, you are able to do a topic of obtaining the contract whether this is getting it from another PC who is signed or coming across your own scroll in the wild somehow. While this process is left mostly up to the story you want to tell with your character, you must do 2,000 words of finding the scroll, going through some trial to prove your worth and then signing the scroll. This does receive the benefit of the 25% discount for a mentor letting you sign their scroll, HOWEVER, it does not allow you to gain the Shadow Clone discount. Once you have the contract, the specialty and the relevant Jutsu, you’ll need some animals to summon! Below we will list the Ryo prices to buy/upgrade a summon to a higher rank:- E-rank: 500 ryo
- D-rank: 1,000 ryo
- C-rank: 1,500 ryo
- B-rank: 2,000 ryo
- A-rank: 2,500 ryo
- S-rank: 5,000 ryo
Summons cost more chakra to summon forth than using a normal Jutsu. You will need to pay not only the cost of the summoning Jutsu, but also the chakra cost of the summon itself. However, the maintenance for keeping the summon around comes from the summons chakra pool. The chakra costs are listed below:- E-rank: 10
- D-rank: 20
- C-rank: 40
- B-rank: 60
- A-rank: 80
- S-rank: 100
Summon Stats:A summon’s stats work the same as a normal character's freeform stats and are based on their rank. Summons differ from familiars through their ability to talk, but also their access to chakra as well as stamina. Whereas familiars are just normal animals that are trained to aid their master through the use of stamina and Taijutsu-style techniques, Summons are fully capable of using chakra to cast ninjutsu and genjutsu as well as using their stamina to use taijutsu. Below, we will list the chakra/stamina pools for summons based on rank:- E-rank: 100 chakra/stamina
- D-rank: 200 chakra/stamina
- C-rank: 300 chakra/stamina
- B-rank: 400 chakra/stamina
- A-rank: 500 chakra/stamina
- S-rank: 600 chakra/stamina
Summon Restrictions:One can only have 2 summoning contracts, one that they own and signed, and one that another PC owns and allows them to sign. A summon is only able to have a MAXIMUM of two elements, with the second only available to S-RANK summons. A summon is only able to have ONE Specialty, (i.e. ninjutsu, genjutsu, taijutsu, etc…)One may claim a summon +1 their tier. Summons can be tiered up at 1/2 the price of the next tier. (i.e. a C-rank summon can become B-rank for 1,000 ryo.)One can register as many summons as they desire within their contract, however, you can only summon a MAXIMUM of three summons per TOPIC. This might be shifted through traits/perks. There are maximum size limitations for summons. Keep in mind, these are not minimums, nor the average; they are maximum sizes available for summons of each rank.S+1 = 100mS-rank = 75mA-rank = 50mB-rank = 25mC-rank = 10mD-rank = 5mE-rank = 1m

| FAMILIAR SYSTEM: Familiars are similar in a manner to Summons, however they do not have a natural chakra system, so they cannot use ninjutsu or genjutsu. They cannot talk either. They are able to use taijutsu specialties provided they make sense, and have access to a unique ability related to their species. (i.e. enhanced smell/hearing, flight, water breathing, etc…)Familiar Requirements: Anyone can have a single Familiar if they want it, however, only those with a unique perk or trait are able to have more than one, up to a maximum of three. Below we will list the prices to buy/upgrade a familiar:- E-rank: 250 ryo
- D-rank: 500 ryo
- C-rank: 1,250 ryo
- B-rank: 1,500 ryo
- A-rank: 1,750 ryo
- S-rank: 2,000 ryo
Familiar Stats:Familiars stats work the same as a normal character’s freeform stats. Technique stats work the same as well, however familiars aren’t able to use anything outside of taijutsu. Below, we will list the stamina pools per rank of a familiar:- E-rank: 50 stamina
- D-rank: 100 stamina
- C-rank: 200 stamina
- B-rank: 250 stamina
- A-rank: 350 stamina
- S-rank: 500 stamina
Familiar Restrictions: A character is only able to have a singular familiar at a time with perks/traits allowing one to have up to a maximum of threeFamiliar’s are unable to use any ninjutsu or genjutsuThey are able to have a SINGLE relevant special ability to their species. This would be something like enhanced smell or hearing for a dog, or breathing underwater for a frog. | |
