| DEATH/RETIREMENT SYSTEM: Death is a natural part of the life of a Shinobi. It is also something that adds a risk factor to the lives of our Rp characters that enhances not only our sense of accomplishment but also grants access to increased rewards. Now, no one wants their character to die, but it does happen from time to time. Here on NR though, we try to make it a painless and simple process. Each time a character would face death, they may choose to instead use a strike. Once you get three strikes however, your character is killed permanently. Life/Death Situations:Sometimes, you will find yourself in a tight spot, having taken a lot of damage with minimal chakra or stamina left to cast techniques. This could mean that you are in a Life/Death situation. - Damage Threshold: A character can only take so much damage before they die. This is described more in depth in the stats system, but essentially you can take a certain amount of damage per rank. Once you have reached the limit to the damage you can take, this puts you in a damage threshold. This means you are in a Life/Death situation and may choose to use a strike or risk death.
- Chakra/Stamina Drain: When one runs down to 5% of their total chakra or less, this also means you are in a Life/Death situation as once your chakra or stamina reaches 0, your character is rendered unconscious until you regain enough chakra/stamina. If this happens, you can choose to use a strike or risk death.
Death or Retirement:Now, you may ask, “what happens when I use all three strikes?” You may then choose to kill off your chakra or retire them from being a ninja and turn them into a civilian NPC. Either way, your Rank, Exp, Ryo and Yen will all transfer to another character you own/make. All Jutsu or unique things your character had will be converted into Ryo, Exp or even Yen to compensate you for your character's passing. NOTE: Do not attempt to just remake the same character or reuse a lot of the deceased characters application when recreating a new character afterwards. If you do this, you risk losing rewards from retirement or even penalties for the new character.
ALSO, you may retire two characters and merge their rewards together, but only two at a time this way. | |
