A small group of travelers walked down the dusty road. A group of around six children led by an adult. This was the delegation of Academy Students from Suna that were heading to Konoha for the first ever Joint Village Graduation Exam. This was an effort for the “allied” villages to all show camaraderie in allowing their students to all take the same graduation exam. While on its face, to most civilians, it would appear to be a good exercise in inter-village relations, in reality, it was just a way for all the villages to get a feel for the next generation of ninja coming up into the world. In this particular group traveling from Suna, one young such individual was Akira. The dusty haired teen was walking with the rest of the members of his class mulling over what sorts of ninja he would be meeting and how powerful they would be. He was highly interested in this opportunity to travel to a different village in what he would consider to be the absolute opposite climate as his own. Where the sand was a rather desolate, barren land outside of the village, the Land of Fire was bustling with life and a natural look.
He remembered the gasps and awed sounds that his classmates and himself had made when the first wall of trees signifying the forest had appeared in front of them. They had never seen anything but palm trees at the oasis that dotted the land of wind. So such a lively place was totally foreign to them. As they approached the front gates of the village he was amazed at how he could draw so much similarity to the sand village as well. As their group approached, the guards stopped them as was expected, “Halt! You must be the delegation from the Land of Wind. Let me see your papers and we’ll get you situated.” Their sensei would chuckle slightly as he pulled out the papers to hand over, “Of course!” Once everything checked out they were allowed into the village and a Genin met them on the inside of the village to show them the way to their hotel that they would be staying at, as well as where the training grounds were and the academy where they would be dealing with the academy graduation exams. Once they got through all the inprocessing they had to go through upon arrival, they would be given a wrist band to allow them access to the common areas of the village.
