PostSubject: Re: LET THE EXAMS BEGIN! (PART 1)   Thu Feb 16, 2017 2:34 pm

Okami sighed and cast a sidelong glance at Goken that only the other man would understand. All of the hatred that he had to face just walking to the site of the Exams was overwhelming, and he was overly-relieved that there was a veritable battalion of Seishigakure ANBU protecting his wife and twins. He really didn't appreciate that everything he had ever done for the betterment of the Elemental Countries was screwed over by someone using him as a puppet. The sadness he was giving off was palpable, but he shook it off as he allowed himself to be pushed into the viewing area by Mariko. Listening to the brief explanation from the proctor of the first portion of the Chuunin Exams, the Uchiha's one visible eye would flick from screen to screen, watching each of his students with keen interest, and giving the others a good look as well. There was one there that resembled the man that had attacked him shortly before his spar with the Yamikage. A Noblord, huh? He had heard of the clan before, as their Dojutsu was on par with that of the Chinoike, and had been compared to the Three Great Dojutsu in power. Now, though...There was reportedly only a few remnants of the clan, as they had been all but blasted into extinction during the incident in Yamigakure. The others he could see were intriguing. A Genin with the same physical energy as Goken stood out, definitely, and a young man who was reportedly the younger sibling of the Seishikage herself. This was definitely a promising group, and Okami looked forward to seeing what they were made of. Speaking of which...The silence was killing him. Although he had become rather dark after the initial incident with Laputa, and was quite solemn once he had become Chowakage, his initial overactive attitude still shined through at times. Deciding to just go with it, the Uchiha figured he couldn't really hurt his image any more than he already had. "I have to admit, this is a far better turn-out than the last Exams. I was supposed to proctor at the time, but I fell...ill. The times before that, though, were always kind of fun. I remember when you took yours, Mariko-chan!"

It was all true. He was suffering from the trauma of losing his lover and manifesting the Mangekyo Sharingan when he should have been in charge of the last Chuunin Exams, and the times before that he had never missed out on an opportunity to keep an eye out for up and coming shinobi. Mariko Kai was an interesting one, as when she had taken the Exam it was a similar layout to this one, except in a portion of the forests surrounding Chowagakure that were always kept wild and untamed. It was rumored that the area it was held in was a remnant of an ancient battle between Indra and Asura Otsutsuki, and seeing the place for himself Okami could believe it. The man that had escorted him here, Muteki, had been the only other member of Mariko's squad in that one, and the shinobi from Chowagakure were still looking for missing people from that event. Fun!

Exactly, you don't remember any of this... Okami would be like: and what does this button do? *activates Infinite Tsukuyomi*

Okami's Infinite Amaterasu Sales Pitch:

Goken remained silent as he observed the happenings of the room. It would seem that his cousin was being anti-social, but he knew that the boy would work with his teammate in the end. He also watched the way the other genin openly discussed their skills, not the brightest idea, but they were genin after all. He would follow Mariko and Okami into the observation room, looking at the various screens that showed every square inch of the arena, and the various buttons and levers that could virtually control every aspect of the exams. Just in case the event ran on too long they were able to transport contestants to areas of high concentration. That way they would be sure to see fights eventually.

When Kenshi was asked to be leader, he smiled. It was a smile that, while it was supposed to hide Kenshi's inner darkness, he sucked at that when he was truly happy. He got up and bowed to the boy named Laxus, knowing that the boy was in good hands. His hands. When one could consider that Laxus could've been paired with other powerhouses, that was scary, however... nothing quite as scary as Kenshi. Kenshi might as well have been a thoroughbred killer. Someone who, beyond everything, held death in his hands more like a tool than something to fear or love. It was a tool that scared other people.

He took everything into consideration. The mission, at the base, was this. You were going to be hunted for information by people you didn't know, and all you had was a stranger at your back. Sometimes two. This was going to be a unique challenge. It was laid out in such a way that most people might panic, but Kenshi was as cool as ice. He saw no reason to panic. It was, really, a simple task that was over complicated by special words. He understood the mission, and understood that it would be difficult. However, he knew how to neutralize some factors right off the bat.

Laxus wasn't probably that strong, but as the boy himself said, he was more of a fighter than a leader, and that was fine. Kenshi could act as leader for the ragtag group of individuals. That was more than fine, since it'd act on Kenshi's skills far better. Kenshi walked up to Fumetsu, and waved.

"Kenshi Omo! Team Four requests the Forest!"

First impressions taken care of, Sera allowed herself to relax a bit, still surveying her surroundings and the other ninja more than her teammates, as there was a much larger amount of information to take in about the enemy than her team, and they’d have three days in the field to discuss their strengths and weaknesses, so there was no point in discussing that now.  That said, she finally offered a subtle smile at her two temporary comrades and spoke, “Hi, I’m Sera Uchiha, pupil to the Chowakage himself.”  While normally, Sera would resent giving this information up, she had plenty of other secrets in her arsenal than her name and sensei, so she was okay with revealing that.

When Kubo spoke, asking Tatsu to take the lead, Sera broke in, not rudely, but firmly, as she was a rather intelligent girl and took the helm of leader naturally.  Kenshi was a more natural leader than she, but it wasn’t like him to really care about such a thing, and Kogoro didn’t take the helm of leadership easily, so often times, in their squad, that job was left to Sera, and was something she was quite used to.  ”Actually, Kubo, if you don’t mind, I’ll be taking the leader’s role.  I’m good, and I make sound decisions.”

This thought was lost when Tatsu began to speak about his strengths and weaknesses, and Sera interrupted him before he revealed anything.  Wait, stop!  There are seven other individuals in the exams that want to gather as much information on you as possible, we should wait to speak on that until we’re in the field.  Focus on information gathering.  Saying this sparked a thought in Sera’s mind, and she activated her Sharingan, something she, again, was fine with revealing considering her last name was on the team roster on a large sign in plain view of everyone.

She utilized her Sharingan to copy the movements of the lips of others in the room, making sure to match faces with what they said, and ingraining it in her memory.  Hopefully others were unintelligent enough to do what she’d just stopped Tatsu from doing.  She ignored Kenshi’s team, as she knew how he fought. She wouldn’t reveal this to her teammates, however, as she greatly hoped that Kenshi would be successful in the exams.  Besides, she knew Kenshi was a person she could negotiate with if need be.

So she diverted her attention, first to the one known asoItsuki, indicating to her teammates who she was talking about before speaking.  “He’s saying,  Hi, the name’s Itsuki Kai! I specialize in Ninjutsu, mostly long and medium range. I am a wind nature user, but I also have a… unique Kekkei Genkai, we can discuss that more once we are on the field, though it has to do with sand. So if it’s available when we choose, the desert biome sounds the best! But, I do not really care were we go.’”  Then Mao, “’Ninjutsu and Bukijutsu for myself, though I do have an affinity to the steel element. I specialize in close range.’” Sera looked at her other teammates now, more engrossed in working withthem than keeping up her facade. "Either of you able to learn anything?

Fumetsu would smirk as a couple people came to claim their land. He had another idea, however. Allowing them to choose was simply a ploy to get them talking and formulating plans. This task was all about information, gathering and holding onto correct and knowing when to question misinformation. Such as that they would get to choose. “You all have talked long enough. See you in three days.” With tht, he would clap his hands, each team vanishing to appear in their biome he chose for them woth their preassigned scroll on the ground ahead of them. Fumetsu would then join the kge in the observation room to prepare everything.

Teams 1 and 2 went to the Mountain Biome 700 meters apart from eeach other

Teams 3 and 4 are in the Desert Biome 700 meters apart from each other.

(Now asking the teams above to start ONE topic for both teams. So teams 1 and 2 will be in a topic in the mountains and teams 3 and 4 will be in a topic in the desert. This topic is now finished and closed)
