This was it. Everything that young Shiroe had been building up to to this point was just ahead of him. Soon he would take the Academy Graduation Exams and become a Genin, much like many other kids within Konohagakure. All that he was required to do had consisted of three portions: the ninjutsu portion, the shurikenjutsu portion, and the written exam. For the shurikenjutsu and written portions of the exam, Shiroe was ssure that he had everything down pat. Those were some of the easier things to learn how to do when it came to the academy's training. Where he had really been struggling though had been with the ninjutsu portions. Thanks to the abundance of chakra flowing through his body, Shiroe had quite a bit of trouble when it had come to exerting the proper amount of chakra. Too little and things wouldn't work at all but too much and there tended to be dastardly results. That is why Shiroe had now found himself with the Ninja Academy's walls. Perhaps if he had practiced a bit more on his own, he would be able to successfully complete his learning? Only one way to find out!

To start, Shiroe would pick up a scroll on the subject of the Body Replacement Technique. From what he had read, the technique was supposed to allow for the user to replace their body with some other object of sorts. It would appear that this was something that most people had done with a block of wood but.. that didn't sound all that exciting. Apparently the user would go about making an optical illusion to trick their foe into believing that they had successfully hit the intended target. Was this.. really something that people did? It sounds more like genjutsu than the typical ninjutsu. Than again, what did he know?

"Well, I guess that I might as well get ready to start practicing." In an attempt to go through the appropriate motions, Shiroe would begin by grabbing one of the practice logs that the academy had provided. From there he would focus the mana into the palms of his hands while weaving together five signs: Tiger, Boar, Ox, Dog, and Snake. Once the hand seals had been completed, Shiroe would place a single hand atop the wooden log and would than step away. From there he would grab a piece of chalk from a nearby chalkboard and throw it high into the air so that it would come down atop of him. Only... It wasn't actually Shiroe that the chalk had come down upon, but in fact the wooden log?! Who would have guessed that the young Sashigame would successfully apply the appropriate amount of chakra this time around? Well.. Many should have seen this coming, seeing as he is considered a prodigy of this generation. Perhaps he had just needed to brush up on his reading.

Well, with that technique being completed, Shiroe had decided to move onto the next one: the Clone Technique. The clone technique had been yet another one of the basic techniques that every shinobi should be able to use. The scrolls had said that this technique was one that had created an intangible copy of the ones own body, without any real substance behind it. This jutsu had several downfalls as a jutsu but with enough ingenuity, one could make quite the effective use with it. The only question now is whether or not Shiroe would be able to do as much. Hoping to go ahead and get this over with, Shiroe would take a moment to run through the proper hand seals: Ram, Snake, and Tiger. This was honestly one of the biggest issues for him when it had come to the jutsus required to graduate.. He always ends up putting too much chakra into it!

Much like every other time he had attempted this jutsu in the past, Shiroe would inevitably end up allowing for too much chakra to flow out of him. Upon doing so, a burst of smoke would exert from his body and leave the young lad coughing up a storm. He would have to take a few moments before practicing yet again but once the smoke had cleared up a bit, he would run through the motions yet again. The biggest difference with this run though had been the fact that a fully rendered, intangible clone that left no shadow behind had stood beside him! He would be lying if he were to say that he wasn't proud of himself. Sure it may look like he has it all easy but this took many failures to even reach this point.

Much like before, Shiroe had begun to immediately move onto the next technique that had been at hand: the Transformation Technique. For this technique, one would have to mold their chakra in a way that would allow for them to transform into another object, whether that be a person or a plant or even an object. In truth, it was by far one of the most valuable jutsu that a shinobi could have, if they had been creative enough to make proper use out of it. Molding ones chakra to take the form of a person would have been chumps work so Shiroe had chosen to take the more complicated approach. After running through the corresponding hand seals: dog, boar, ram, Shiroe would attempt to transform himself into that of an inanimate object. The object in question had been one of the stools that the students had used to sit down when they had attended class. Unsurprisingly, this wasn't something that he was able to accomplish upon a first attempt. No, Shiroe would instead find himself transformed into that of a shoddier version of the stool. This wasn't something that he could stand for and as such he would go about ending the jutsu and trying again. Once more he would repeat the sequence of hand seals: dog, boar, and ram. This time however, he would adjust the amount of chakra that he had been allowing to slip through his pores. Upon completion of the hand seals, Shiroe would take on the guise of the wooden stool that had been placed not that far from him. Thankfully this venture was a success and there wasn't much else for him to have to work towards.

Having completed the prodigal process of studying further into these basic jutsu's, whilst not allowing for his hyperactive mind to take over, Shiroe would take a moment to pack up all of the resources that he had been using from the academy. The piece of chalk and the wooden log that he had used earlier would end up placed back within their proper locations and even the stool that he had examined would end up neatly tucked beneath a table. Overall the experience had been a rather joyous one and one that he would remember quite well in the days to come. One might never know how useful these jutsu will end up being in the future but Shiroe was sure glad to figure it out. All that was really left for him to do now was to practice the tree climbing and water walking techniques, but those lessons would come at another time. For now though, Shiroe would just head back on home. He would have to speak with his mother about his accomplishments of the day and hope that she was willing to watch over him as he continued to practice even at home. The easiest way to become a prodigy is to work hard after all. If there was anything that Shiroe knew how to do, it was how to work hard towards the things that he is passionate about. That being said, step one was now complete. Onto step two.
