Appearance: An intricate design tattoo is on Kitiara’s right arm, and it signifies her being the Nereis of her clan and rank in Brighteye’s Flock of Sacred Nestling. Clan Tattoo has a single eagle eye in the direct center, with four eagle wings surrounding it outside the tattoo. Kitiara has three bracelets on the same arm as the clan tattoo. The first bracelet precisely signifies her birthstone, an Aquamarine, and has a lightish blue color to a bracelet. Her second bracelet indicates her Chakra Element that she was born with, Lightning with a gemstone that matches the chakra element itself. Kitiara's final bracelet suggests her confusion and lack of understanding of why everyone is so overprotective of her. She is interested in training with her bow and taking care of the Eagle, which she was given by Brighteye, his daughter Azurisz the Watcher.

Kitiara wrapped the Darklight Bow of Lightning is on her back, with the quiver close to the bow. The bow isn't covered, but it always never leaves her back until she is ready for training. The quiver's arrows are usually protected from rain by a cover that blocks the rain out of it. On her left arm, she has the clan's patent arm perch made up of exceptionally rugged leather and some steel to protect her arm from the nails from Azurisz the Watcher. Kitiara has hair accessories that look like flowers or are actual flowers and white floral hairbands for her twin tails.

Kitiara wears significantly more around her style in the Shimabukuro clan instead of conforming to her parents. These clothes are casual, specifically purely white with black trim for her shirts, but she does wear black skirts. Sometimes, Kitiara does wear a beautiful white kimono that is more in line with her mother's specific style. There is a slight nervousness in her body language that she cannot shake because of her title in her clan.

Kitiara has beautiful bluish-green eyes and frequently tries to smile but cannot usually since she looks so frustrated or nervous around others. She has gorgeous black hair that she puts in a twin tail look because she has enough hair to do such a feat, but it isn’t too long to be too much to handle for her. In addition, the only time her nerves aren’t showing is when she is focused on training, talking to Azurisz, or dealing with whoever tasked her with an objective in mind. She’s the least stressed because of how much her clan overprotects her compared to other clans with heiresses. Kitiara is annoyed that everyone is overprotective of her even though she wants to try to deal with things all by herself. She does get easily embarrassed.

Personality:
Kitiara looks as if she’s nervous, frustrated, and easily embarrassed through her body language, only because she would instead focus on her skills with a bow. She barely smiles, but she tries to be friendly to others, even if she is embarrassed around them. In her clan, she’s being overly protected because of how different her clan’s requirements are and everything, and Kitiara is the Nereis. Kitiara does love her mother, but the overbearing protection is slightly nerve-racking and causes her to be highly embarrassed around anyone.

Kitiara wants to be on her own merits over what her parents or clan want. She focuses on her fighting style by making it better and unique to herself over the similar overall way to deal with releasing an arrow from a bow. However, Kitiara wouldn’t want to cheat herself of it. She’s a smart girl who understands what it is to be a ninja, even with the overbearing protection of her parents.

Kitiara has a combat style like everyone in her clan, using Kyujutsu techniques with Brighteye’s Flock’s familiars to better understand the battlefield. Azurisz, the Watcher, helps Kitiara in specific training exercises required with a familiar. Understandingly, Kitiara takes good care of Azurisz and would be scared or terrified if anything happens to Azurisz since she’s the daughter of Brighteye. Therefore, the Shimabukuro clan and Kitiara herself can summon out more potent Eagles from Brighteye’s Flock, but they first need to gain higher ranks in the flock. Kitiara's first and foremost defense is her Kyujutsu techniques with regularly firing off arrows from bows. It does help that the Chakra Elements that are a majority within the Shimabukuro clan are Lightning and Water since one increases the other's strength.

Kitiara was told by some Shimabukuro clan members that she can defend herself by hand-to-hand combat, but that ruins the practice sessions with what everyone must learn to be great Ninjas with deadly accuracy with a bow. If it is necessary, Kitiara will defend herself with her fists, but otherwise, it’ll be better not to do so since that would ruin her hands and her nails specifically. Kitiara does use the distraction path of her training since it’s always good to have a trick up her sleeve. It is a Genjutsu/Kyujutsu combination technique and only allows the use of it to trick everyone into thinking she’s firing more arrows than she is.

Character History:
Makaira and Marise, before Kitiara, were born in a few months in March, since her birthstone would be an Aquamarine. They were trying to plan out how everyone in the Shimabukuro clan would treat the newest Nereis. Normalcy within the family usually allows everyone in the Shimabukuro clan to help and defend the Nereis. However, Makaira felt a bit uneasy and would, in essence, enable her husband even before Kitiara was born to be the Ranger-General of the Shimabukuro clan. Makaira had some nightmares while having Kitiara, and those were, in essence, what if the Tolius died before she could even give her blessing to her daughter to have a happy marriage. Marise was a bit shocked that his wife would choose this, but as Vireuke, he would do his best as the Ranger-General of the Clan during war times. Makaira wanted to deal with the peaceful times instead of dying in vain or otherwise, but the Shimabukuro clan would still honor the call to arms by the Takikage.

Kitiara had a dream of meeting no other than Brighteye, the Revered Eagle. He told her that she’d be having a friend watch her from his flock, by the title of Watcher. Kitiara asked the enormous eagle how far Eagles fly and how beautiful clouds are up close. He answered her with that everyone has to imagine big even to touch clouds like he can with how big he is. Brighteye told her to never give up on her dreams, and they would get her anywhere even if her parents and clan overprotected her. After the drive with Brighteye, when her mother Makaira came up to her, there was a Nestling called Azurisz. Azurisz greeted Kitiara with the most simple thing that she could come up with, and that was I see my father told you about me, it seems. Kitiara always knew she would get an eagle as a friend, but specifically, the same eagle that Brighteye told her about was a bit fated.

Kitiara, like so many others, enrolled in the academy, and one thing that the teachers found out about her is she is smart and has an animal companion. She stayed pretty much to herself and tried to ignore any affection from other clans or other people in the academy. The Shimabukuro clan doesn’t want to be involved in petty squabbles or rivalries between different clans in Takigakure. She was quiet most of the time at the academy and did everything the teachers asked her to do. Whenever Kitiara talks, she is nervous, embarrassed, and a bit shy, but it’s only because of how she feels. Her primary feeling is focusing on training and nothing really else, you can see her use her bow while training with wooden arrows. Kitiara always can be seen talking to her friend Azurisz the Watcher, who knows exactly how she feels.

Kitiara graduated from the academy, not as well as other clans members but with her intelligence and aptitudes showing she would go far with her clan’s Kyujutsu techniques. She didn’t even bat an eye that she didn’t graduate with honors. It was better to graduate from the academy to train more with her bow and arrow and craft her arrows without dealing with the limited supply at the academy. Many things frustrated her about her family’s overprotective behavior, but Kitiara loved them nonetheless. She had not had many responsibilities as a Nereis because the Shimabukuro clan deals with heiresses over other clans in the Ninja world.

When Kitiara turned 13 years old, she hit being a perfectionist to perfect the Shimabukuro clan's Kyujutsu techniques with Eagles. Kitiara focused only on training without eating unless she did enough training in question when she should eat. Makaira gently asked Kitiara to have a chat, but it was mainly about Kitiara's frequency of not properly eating before challenging herself with training. Kitiara was shocked in meaning, her mother probably also did the same thing she had done, and they chatted a long time. Kitiara found out that Makaira did train a long time to become the Ranger-General and Tolius of her clan. However, Makaira's parents were more punishing to her over her tendency to skip meals, but she didn't want Kitiara to make any mistakes or be up to anything.

Shimabukuro clan members enter the chunin exams but rarely exceed expectations like the other more numerous clans. It would be better if Kitiara would try to exceed expectations and be balanced instead of overly focused on one thing.

Two years later, Kitiara understands her parents' overprotective nature but frustrates her. The rest of her story will be lived and told by journals detailing her rise as the next Tolius, much later.
