Clan History: The Namikaze clan started off as simple merchants and couriers for the various larger clans around the area. When the village was formed, they naturally followed suit to not only continue their trades as merchants, but also to take advantage of the higher security that so many more powerful clans gathered in one place afforded them. Eventually, they too became a shinobi clan when they realized the combat applications of their unique Kekkei Genkai.
