Appearance: Kosuke is a spritely young kid, he has very youthful features. His black hair is usually falling messily around his head, over his forehead down to just above the eyes. His eyes are black, leaving him to appear to be a rather bland looking kid to some extent while he might appear cute to some. All in all, dark hair and dark eyes do not lend themselves to sticking out in a crowd. As an orphan, he was unable to afford nice clothing, nor was he able to get a steady stream of showers or anyone really looking out for him. Thus, he was stuck with hand-me-downs or things he stole from local clothing stores to keep warm in the winter.

He wears a white, long sleeved collared shirt normally. This is topped by a red vest that is usually buttoned, but may be unbuttoned at times. He wears black pants and black shoes. He has a nice silver necklace that he usually wears in the general shape of a kunai with a green gem in the center. Once he becomes a real ninja, he will wear his headband tied loosely around his neck, and will move the necklace into being a bracelet. He usually keeps his face in a neutral expression, but he isn’t too stupid not to take advantage of his age and apparent cuteness to get what he wants. He will appear to most to be a happy go lucky kid without a care in the world, when in reality he just wants a place to belong in the world.

Personality: Kind, Compassionate, Respectful. Brash, Reckless and Overly Relaxed. These are all things that have been said to describe Kosuke. He is a good kid at heart, but he is very much caught up in the glamor of the ninja lifestyle as opposed to the reality of it. He isn’t one to shirk his responsibilities, but his belief that “everything will work out in the end” gets him into trouble more often than not. He will help those around him that need help, but this can sometimes put him into sticky situations as he often doesn’t think through the outcomes or consequences of his actions. One thing is for certain though, he would run head first into a burning building to save one of his friends. Is that smart? No, probably not. But it is good, it is selfless. Growing up without anyone who truly treated him as one of ‘their people’, he craves attention and acceptance.

Beyond his rough exterior though, is just a kid who wants to belong. Growing up in a village without a family, where even the orphanage kicked him out at a young age, he had to learn to put on a happy face and push through the pain. So, while to most, he would appear as a happy child, he is really misunderstood and wants to find friends.

Character History: Kosuke was born in the village of Iwagakure to two Uchiha. Not just any two, but two prominent members of the shinobi forces of Iwa. However, Uchiha are sought after worldwide since all villages want to get their hands on that legendary kekkei genkai, the Sharingan. It was this lust for the powerful eyes that often led bandits or other unsavory characters to attempt to kidnap young Uchiha to be sold into slavery, bred for more Sharingan to sell, or even auctioned off to the highest paying village. This is what happened to one infant, Kosuke Uchiha. Not three hours in this world and he had been taken from his mother for some ‘routine’ checks by his nurse. That is, until said nurse smuggled him out of the building and then out of the village. They were in Water Country by the time the hospital had even realized he was missing. And so begins the tale of Kosuke.

As his kidnapper had not planned quite this far ahead, they had no idea what to do with the child they now carried, wrapped in swaddling clothes. They certainly wouldn’t want to keep it, so they needed to find someone who would buy it off of them and get them that sweet Sharingan pay day they had heard about. So the search began, to find a place to sell the kid off to the highest bidder. This led them through the Land of Water and into the Land of Fire, where they came across a bandit settlement that seemed to be rather well off. And so, the arrogant kidnapper strolled up to attempt to get every last dollar the bandits had to offer to sell them the kid. The only problem being that they didn’t want a damn kid, and the kidnapper was killed. They were about to kill young baby Kosuke when their encampment was ransacked by Leaf ninja. Two Chunin and a Jonin took down all the bandits and seized their arms, ammunition and supplies to bring back to the village, along with the poor helpless kid they found in one of the tents.

And so, Kosuke had made his way to the Land of Fire and then into the village hidden in the leaves. It was here that he grew up, a nobody. No one knew him and no one cared to. He spent his childhood growing up in an orphanage that was easily at capacity the entire time he was there. The moment he was old enough to apply to the academy, he was kicked out to the street to begin his ‘adult life’ at the ripe old age of seven. From there, he spent time learning how to live on the streets and how to take care of himself while also studying in the academy and learning all he could so that one day he could make a name for himself in the village and have everyone accept him as one of them. He would one day prove to everyone in the village that he was NOT nobody, he was Kosuke!
