Appearance: Katsumi has the lithe body of someone that has danced their whole life, because she has. Floating behind her waist-length dark blue hair is a sextet of blades roughly the length of her forearm. They blades follow her closely, moving through the air with the same lazy grace the pre-teen girl moves with.

Her blue eyes have a look of perpetual boredom, particularly driven home when she is forced to wear formal outfits to various events she is dragged to as part of her 'diplomatic training' with her mother. When she is left to her own devices, she prefers to throw on clothes that don't require much thought, often wearing simple clothes fit for training in.

Personality: Being the oldest daughter of the Tamashiha clan matriarch, Katsumi is expected to eventually take control of the clan. As such, she is expected to be honest and forthright, with impeccable manners and a dignified air. At the moment, all her busy mother can say in terms of progress on this front is that she is forthright to the point of being blunt, if not downright rude. She knows the rules and guidelines of good etiquette, but flagrantly ignores them when it suits her.

While she seems to eschew the lessons that her mother has tried to drill into her on etiquette and politeness, she has always been diligent with her training in the soul blade dance, and her kekkei genkai has already awoken despite her young age. The iconic blades of her clan follow her in a tightly controlled formation. Also often following her in tight formation is a small gaggle of other academy students, where her sharp wit and even sharper tongue made her a “queen bee” of her class of students.

Character History:
Katsumi is the first daughter of the Ayumi Tamashiha; the current Tamashiha clan matriarch. She has three older brothers, the triplets Asahi, Haruto, and Youta. These three are skilled shinobi in their own right; with Haruto having been promoted to Special Jounin, and Asahi and Youta both chuunin. With diplomatic relations between Kirigakure and the other villages being fairly positive, Ayumi traveled often; and Katsumi was often left to her own devices or watching her brothers spar and practice their ninjutsu.

As the first daughter of the clan matriarch, Katsumi is expected to eventually take over the clan. This role would place her as Kirigakure’s top diplomat when the Kage was unable to represent the village. So when her mother was home, the woman tried to impress onto the young girl lessons on everything from holding proper tea ceremonies to diplomatic customs of the various shinobi nations. Young Katsumi hated every minute, and would have preferred to have been out with her brothers practicing the Soul Blade dance and the ninja arts.

Her focus on the ninja arts over the diplomacy and etiquette lessons served her well in the academy. Despite being focused on her lessons and being at the top of her class, whenever her mother is in the village Katsumi finds herself pulled out of school for lessons on how to be a “proper lady” and dragged to political meetings that she has no interest in.
