| WANDERER/TRAVEL MECHANICS
If you make a ninja/character that doesn’t fit into the typical mould of “SHINOBI”, there are a few things you need to be made aware of. - You may be allowed to join a team in a major village as a diplomatic envoy representing whatever place you are affiliated with (Shimo, Taki, etc…).
- You are unable to hold any true rank within the village and are simply given an “honorary” Genin title.
- As you do not hold official rank, you are unable to claim any of the rank bonuses higher than Genin even if you take part in advanced exams, (Chūnin, Jōnin, etc…).
- As an unaffiliated ninja you are unable to hold any limited positions (kage, ANBU, Captain/Commander).
- You can become an official member of the village if you so choose at a later date once you have completed at LEAST 10 missions serving the village (on an official team or otherwise with another “official” village ninja). When this is done you will be given an aptitude test to determine what official rank you qualify for. If it is higher than Genin, you may claim rewards between ranks. (If you are given the official rank of Spec. Jōnin you may claim rewards you missed (Chūnin and then Spec. Jōnin)
- For as long as you do not hold “official” rank within the village you are subject to all orders of official ninja of your village ranked Chūnin+. Failure to comply with direct orders will result in IC punishments determined by either your direct superior, the Kage, or staff if neither of the above are available based on the offense.
TRAVEL MECHANICS - Jōnin+ can travel as they please when on missions etc. Though when they are traveling they are representatives of their village and any actions they take that the village disapproves of is grounds for punishment based on the offense decided by either the kage or staff depending on availability.
- Spec. Jōnin and below are only able to leave the area of their village in relation to missions, when accompanying a Jōnin+ or in regards to events that warrant/allow such travel. If a spec. Jōnin or below leaves the village outside of these circumstances, they risk punishment.
- When you travel from one location to another, you don’t HAVE to post your leaving your village/location but you MUST post an “Arrival” thread at the gates of the village/location you are coming to. This thread is considered OPEN and anyone may join. If no one responds within 48 hours you may consider your entry complete.
- When ABANDONING your village you MUST post a ”Leaving” topic at the gates of your village that is both OPEN and DEATH ENABLED. (Even if you get a strike, you may still be allowed to leave the village depending on the situation.)
